I got hooked into the HBO Documentaries America Undercover film Small Town Ecstasy last night. Even though I was planning on getting to bed at a reasonable time, I was completely hooked on the sordid tale of a 40-year old divorced man who starts taking Ecstasy and going to Raves with his 18-year old son. He then lets his 13-year old son and 16-year old daughter try Ecstasy. It was disturbing to see that a father could sit there and watch his children do dangerous, addictive drugs and think he’s doing a great job of parenting. His ex-wife turned him in after finding a letter her daughter had written about her experiences, and the man ended up getting arrested. This is some riveting, and disturbing, television that’s worth the watch.
You may have noticed a few new changes to the chuckbutt.com Web site. I’ve decided to use Blogger to make updates to the home page on the fly. Blogger allows you to quickly and easily update a Web page in a few simple steps. This means I can sift through my Brain Sediment (hence, the name) and quickly add something to the site for your enjoyment. Plus, it’s just pretty damn cool.
