I got hooked into the HBO Documentaries America Undercover film Small Town Ecstasy last night. Even though I was planning on getting to bed at a reasonable time, I was completely hooked on the sordid tale of a 40-year old divorced man who starts taking Ecstasy and going to Raves with his 18-year old son. He then lets his 13-year old son and 16-year old daughter try Ecstasy. It was disturbing to see that a father could sit there and watch his children do dangerous, addictive drugs and think he’s doing a great job of parenting. His ex-wife turned him in after finding a letter her daughter had written about her experiences, and the man ended up getting arrested. This is some riveting, and disturbing, television that’s worth the watch.
