Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is one of the funniest “comedians” working out there today. Check out this side-splittingly funny clip from the Conan O’Brien show where Triumph skewers the folks waiting in line for the new Star Wars movie. I stumbled across the Police Log from the Arcata Eye, the self-proclaimed, “America’s most popular obscure small-town newspaper.” If all Police Logs were this lyrical and poetic, I would enjoy being arrested and detained quite a bit, just to see my listing. Looks like the golf ball diver is getting out of hot water (see article here). Turns out that collecting golf balls with scuba gear only warrants two years of probabtion instead of six months in jail. Justice prevails!

I just read a disturbing article on the ABCNEWS.com Web site. The article discusses a recent ruling in San Francisco’s Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that has some impact on what small Web sites do in linking to content. It’s definitely something worth watching as legislation starts to hit the Internet. I’m going to do my best to make sure content is freely-available while protecting the copyrights of the owners.
It’s official. My brother and I really are going to be “the death of” my mother. A recent Finnish study showed that having a boy takes an average of 34 weeks off a woman’s life span. I’m pretty sure that when my daughter starts dating, years are going to be shaved from my life span. Oh well. Happy Mother’s Day to All You Moms!
