Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s a time for reflection, so naturally, I posted a Thanksgiving column outlining the things for which I’m most thankful. I haven’t been working on Act of Remembrance very much over the last week or so because of my schedule and because of the waves of illness rampaging through the Smith family. But don’t worry - I’ll be picking it up where I left off very soon. In the mean time, have a happy, and safe, Thanksgiving everyone!

Throwing in the Towel?

I can’t make the 50,000 word goal for Act of Remembrance because of some other commitments I have right now, so I’m throwing in the towel. But . . . I’m not going to quit on the novel. I’m just going to be committing a little less time every day. This means there may be a little less everyday, but in the long run, should mean more of the novel on a regular basis. I’ll be dedicating at least an hour a day to the book, and hope to complete a first draft by the end of January. I’ve posted another chapter today. Thanks for all the encouragement and kind words, and keep watching this space.

Another Sleepless Night

I have not been able to put as much effort into Act of Remembrance as I’d like, but I did post another chapter. I’ve been simultaneously working on a new venture, Auction Rookie, and I ran into some technical issues that took more of my time than anticipated (DreamWeaver has a somewhat steep learning curve, but once you get it, it’s great). The unofficial word count is up to 11,354. To top things off, my daughter has been waking up in the middle of the night, and won’t go back to sleep. November has turned into one, sleepless work/home fest. Oh well - I’ll sleep when I’m dead!

Breaking the 10K Barrier!

I put the first 3,000 words out, and have posted the latest installment of Act of Remembrance. The unofficial word count is up to 10,624. Man . . . this is tough work!

Kicking It Up a Notch!

Did some serious flying on the keyboards last night, and have posted the latest installment of Act of Remembrance. The unofficial word count is up to 7,610. I’ve got a goal of 3,000 words a day until next Monday, so watch for more frequent updates, and happy reading!

A Slow Weekend

The latest installment of Act of Remembrance has been posted. The unofficial word count is up to 5,555. Things are definitely going slower than needed, so I’m going to step it up this week. This weekend, I had my brother’s birthday party (Happy Birthday Rich!), and was also working on the new film project. Look for more frequent updates to the novel, and happy reading!

And Still, the Words Pile On

The latest installment of Act of Remembrance has been posted. The unofficial word count is up to 4,813. Hope you enjoy the bad novel in progress! I’ve also updated the Projects page to include links to the new film project as well as my new business project (which is still “under construction”).
