I finally got a little Christmas spirit (this is the latest year ever), and got some writing done. You can check out my little Christmas reminiscence and find out some of my fondest Christmas memories. I’m still in a bit of a humbug mood, but with some time spent with family, and certainly the kid’s excitement about Santa’s visit, I think I can make it through the season with a minimum of humbugginess. I hope all of you have a safe, and happy, holiday season, and I look forward to ringing in the new year. I’m going to be creating a new Web site to try and syndicate some of the content from chuckbutt.com, but it won’t affect the content here. See you next year!

I received a response to the Ben Stein article from Adina, who runs her web site,[S]uper [HIT List], to expound on her thoughts about morality and critical thinking. Adina shares a lot of my sensibilities about taking personal responsibility for your actions, and a general feeling that society has taken a turn for the worse because of a general, intellectual laziness. Stop by her site and say hello!
It’s not very often that someone puts into writing what many of us good, honest folks are thinking. Here, in an article titled, How to Ruin American Enterprise, Ben Stein (of Ferris Bueller and Win Ben Stein’s Money fame) articulates thoughts on how we’re going down the road to ruining this great, capitalist society our forefather’s worked so hard to build. I for one am sick and tired of the litigious and politically-correct bent our society has taken in the last 20 or so years, and would love a return to common sense. Read the article, and if you get as fired up about it as I did, then send me an email today.
My brother, Richie, sent me another joke that was pretty darn funny. I’ll update you on Act of Remembrance, and my outside projects, very soon. Have a good one!
My brother, Richie, sent me a new joke that was actually funny (as opposed to most of the ones he forwards - just kidding, Richie). Things have been slow on the writing front, but only because I’ve been working on a couple of outside projects. I’ll update you on these, as well as Act of Remembrance, very soon. Have a good one!
