Halloween, the Red Sox, and things…

It’s been a while, so I’m just going to dump stuff on here and go with it.

First off, how ’bout them Red Sox? I remember all the disappointment from last year’s game seven against the Yankees (why the hell did they leave Pedro in?), as well as the ‘86 World Series (and no, it wasn’t Buckner’s fault so just leave the guy alone - he helped drag the Sox to the Series that year).

But those games against the Yankees this year were really something else. I don’t think I’ve ever been that keyed up for a baseball game in my life (I’m more of a football fan). Talk about drama and a series for the ages. And then coming in a sweeping a very good Cardinals team was great (especially for those of us letting the young ones stay up for all of the deciding games - only needed one this time!).

Congrats Sox and hopefully they can retain at least a few of the starters for next year (notably Varitek, Lowe, and Pedro).

Halloween was last night, and the kids were keyed up about it for over a month. Carson wore his Army outfit for quite a few days before the official Halloween event. Marissa was a good witch this year, with funky socks and shoes. You can check out photos of the Sarge and Sabrina on the Halloween 2004 page.

Halloween wasn’t as good to the Pats as they got spanked against the Steelers. I knew it had to come at some point, but man, I hated to see them lose. Luckily, I missed the second half because we went out trick-or-treating. The Pats had been in a few close ones already this year, so I’m sure it means that Belichick will be riding them this week and getting them ready for a very quick Rams team next Sunday.

That’s all I have time for today, so Go Sox, Go Pats, and Happy Halloween to you all!

Have a good one,

Chuck
